Be it rain or shine, everyone needs something to cosy up in, and the weather is calling out to our favourite styles that will stay with you whatever the season! We say skip the coat and throw on a statement chunky knit. We have rounded up our most loved pieces. Whether you love colour, want something quite basic but not too boring or something just beautiful.. Scroll away.
Warmer tempratures, sunny days, the smell of fresh flowers.. We must all be on cloud nine this month (and we might have Bryan Adam's old album on our list too). Here is what I have been listening to this month and on the hunt for something new - always! So if you have some tracks that is must have for the playlist, give me a shout below.
If you are ever stuck on styling a chunky jumper, you have got to take some inspiration from Patricia Stelmach. She has styled our crochet jumper beautifully and let's not forget to see the layering, textures and the addition of accessories. My favourite detail is the pop of orange through the black fur jacket. Just lovely!
A classic knit - fisherman's ribs, cables or a true basic style, everyone owns something that can be thrown on with anything. I have been truly obsessed with my cables jumper. If you follow me on social media, you would know that I cannot stop with the 'cables & pearls' selfie. This warm, textured knit is my idea of jumper perfection.
A few months ago, we let a new little creature into our home - Brian, the cat. Originally named Edie, he was a frequent visitor and always refused to leave our company. So, we adopted him. He was old, but a beautiful (big, really big) cat.
I have been meaning to get down to my blog for quite sometime now (or maybe months – guilty!) and I have finally taken the Sunday off to strictly sit down with a cup of coffee or two, my notebook and my sweet old MacBook. I feel that I have so much to talk about, that I have to start now rather than putting it off. I have wanted to do this every week but things takes over and I end up with ‘I’ll do it over the weekend’ and the weekends pass by with knitting hours. But no more!
I do not promise a Christmas playlist as I am (guilty) not a great fan of christmas songs. It either takes me back to boarding school days or puts me right to sleep. I do have an exception of Last Christmas by Wham though. Now that song is just beautiful. Anyway, I have a new favourite almost every month and below is my list on repeat for December *Singing along to them decorating my Christmas tree*
Sabina Emrit from Access Fashion wearing our Handknitted Jumper made in a wool blend. Hand knitted in Britain, it is a relaxed, chunky knit to cosy up in. Can't deny it is also a perfect Christmas pick.
For our AW16 collection, we took a trip back to India. Inspired by designer’s heritage, we took craftsmanship a step further than our past collections. This collection incorporates beautiful Indian embroidery, called Zardosi (literally means Gold work), all of which is meticulously done by hand making each piece very special. Lavishly opulent yarns and textures update our knitwear.
As every fashion student's dream is to go on their own, so was mine. I started my business not too long ago. It always seems like yesterday! At university, my designs were known for their crafty approach. I loved my domestic knitting machine so much that I spent my off term holidays with it. I still love it.
