KNITTING CLASSES

With years of experience as a creative director of her knitwear clothing business, Yakshi has a thorough understanding of machine knitting. She created these workshops to offer additional help to students, teaching them the works of the machine from basics to a final shaped garment. Choose from a 1-to-1 which will be tailored to your requirements; a Beginner's class which offers you basics machine knitting knowledge to help you get started and Advanced class where you will learn how to create a mini garment from scratch. The advanced class is very helpful to take forward to final year collections.

Some areas of tutoring could include:

Lace holes, laddering, weaving, ewrapping, cables, fairisles, flotas, tuck and slip stitch etc.

·     Pattern cutting skills:

Measuring the body, measuring garments, creating patterns, fittings etc.

·     Developing ideas from conceptual research:

Translating research into techniques/swatches, translating swatches into garments
